Mid-Autumn Festival 2024-2025: Moonlight of Love and Childhood Memories

Dear Parents, The Mid-Autumn Festival, with its gentle full moon and the pure joy reflected in children’s eyes, is always a special occasion at Tiny Flower Montessori. This year, we are delighted to invite our dear parents and little ones to join us for the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024-2025, themed “Moonlight of Love”—a journey of connection, sharing, and creating unforgettable childhood memories.

A Vibrant Mid-Autumn Atmosphere

As you step into our school campus, parents and children will be welcomed by a vibrant atmosphere filled with the magic of Mid-Autumn: glowing lanterns, lively depictions of Cuoi and Sister Hang, and the rhythmic sound of lion dance drums. The entire scene transports everyone back to the beautiful memories of childhood, where moonlight and family joy harmoniously intertwined.

Highlights of the Festival

1. Energetic Lion Dance to Open the Celebration
The thunderous sound of drums and the graceful moves of the lion dancers brought excitement and joy to the children, setting the tone for a lively and joyful evening.

2. Musical Performances: Children Sing About the Moonlight
From heartfelt songs about the Mid-Autumn Festival to elegant fan dances, performances by the children were shining moments where they confidently showcased their talents, cheered on by loving parents and teachers.

3. Creative and Interactive Activities

  • Lantern Making: Under the guidance of teachers, children crafted their own beautiful lanterns, each carrying their unique creativity.
  • Mooncake Making: Little hands kneaded and shaped delightful mooncakes, an activity that brought both joy and valuable lessons in patience and meticulousness.

4. Moon Feast: Gathering and Sharing
Parents and children came together to prepare and enjoy the traditional Moon Festival feast, complete with fruits, traditional snacks, and stories about the significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival. This moment of togetherness fostered love, sharing, and cherished memories.

5. Lantern Parade Under the Moonlight
The highlight of the evening was the enchanting lantern parade. With lanterns glowing in their hands, children joyfully walked alongside friends and family, creating a vivid and colorful scene under the full moon.

The Significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival at Tiny Flower Montessori

The Mid-Autumn Festival is not just a time for fun and celebration but also a journey to rediscover cultural values, nurture love for the homeland, and strengthen family bonds. Through creative activities and hands-on experiences, children learn about sharing, caring, and embracing the pride of their cultural heritage.

Tiny Flower Montessori sincerely thanks our parents for your support and companionship in creating such a meaningful and joy-filled celebration. The sparkling eyes and cheerful laughter of the children are testaments to a Mid-Autumn Festival brimming with emotions and love.
