AGES 0–3 PROGRAM – BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR INDEPENDENCE AND HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT WITH TFM

Dear Parents,

Dr. Maria Montessori emphasized that the first three years of life are the most crucial period in a person's development. During these formative years, children absorb everything from their surroundings through what Montessori called the "Absorbent Mind"—an extraordinary ability to learn naturally, effortlessly, and continuously from every experience in their environment.

With a deep understanding of the developmental characteristics of this "golden period," Tiny Flower Montessori School (TFM) has carefully designed its Ages 0–3 Program to provide children with a strong foundation for lifelong learning, independence, and holistic development.

Building upon the nurturing and peaceful care offered in our Nido environment, the TFM Ages 0–3 Program focuses on three key areas:

  • Fostering independence through meaningful Practical Life activities.
  • Developing gross and fine motor skills, enabling children to confidently explore the world around them.
  • Supporting language and communication development, laying the foundation for thinking, self-expression, and meaningful social interaction.

The classroom is thoughtfully prepared as a safe, orderly, and home-like environment, where every piece of furniture and Montessori material is carefully selected to suit each child's size and developmental stage. This allows children to make independent choices, practice self-care skills, strengthen concentration and self-discipline, and learn to respect themselves, others, and their surroundings.

To help parents gain a deeper understanding of the curriculum, developmental areas, the Montessori approach, and your child's daily routine at school, TFM is pleased to share our Ages 0–3 Program Guide.
