Visit to Nam Saigon Primary School – An Inspiring Start for Tiny Flower Montessori Children

As part of preparing children aged 5–6 for their transition to primary school, Tiny Flower Montessori organized a meaningful visit to Nam Saigon Primary School. This trip was not only a new and exciting experience but also an opportunity to ignite a love for learning and enthusiasm about becoming a first-grader in the hearts of the children.

First Steps Toward Familiarity With Primary School

At Nam Saigon Primary School, the children were warmly welcomed into an environment filled with friendliness and care. The primary school teachers thoughtfully introduced:

  • A new school setting: A spacious, modern, and colorful environment that brought a sense of comfort and closeness to the children.
  • The first-grade classroom: Featuring neat and inviting desks and chairs, well-organized learning corners, and complete learning materials, sparking curiosity and excitement.
  • Engaging learning activities: The teachers shared interesting lessons and a variety of subjects, opening a new and captivating world for the children.

Conversations With First-Grade Students

One of the most memorable highlights of the trip was the opportunity to converse with first-grade students. Their innocent and honest sharing about school, friends, and the joys of learning inspired confidence and enthusiasm in the preschoolers for their upcoming journey.

Exploring Comprehensive Learning Spaces

The children toured the school’s classrooms and functional rooms, each offering unique experiences:

  • Computer Lab: Modern computers introduced the children to the world of technology.
  • Art Room: A vibrant and colorful space that sparked creativity in children who love painting and music.
  • Library: A treasure trove of knowledge filled with countless captivating books, fostering a passion for reading from an early age.
  • Physical Education Room: A spacious area where children could freely engage in physical activities and develop their motor skills.

The Significance of the Trip

The visit to Nam Saigon Primary School offered more than just a glimpse into a primary school environment; it provided:

  • Preparedness for transition: The children gained a better understanding of first grade, reducing anxiety and increasing their confidence for this new stage of learning.
  • A love for learning: Lively images and authentic stories nurtured the children’s eagerness to attend school.
  • Confidence-building: The children felt that first grade was no longer unfamiliar but a place full of exciting opportunities waiting for them.

Unforgettable Moments

Beaming smiles and eager eyes while listening to first-grade students share their experiences, or gentle touches on desks and learning tools out of curiosity, added layers of meaning to this trip. It was not merely a day out but a foundational and profound first step on their academic journey.Tiny Flower Montessori – Helping Children Confidently Transition to Primary School
