Opening Ceremony Of The AMI Montessori Assisstant Course For Age 0-3: Igniting Knowledge Spreading Humaistic Education Values

On July 11, 2022, in collaboration with Montessori Vietnam Education (MVEC), Tiny Flower Montessori (TFM), the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), and the Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE), the AMI Montessori Assistant Course for ages 0–3 was officially launched. This significant event marked the beginning of an inspiring learning journey and a key milestone in spreading the Montessori philosophy in Vietnam, offering valuable opportunities for those passionate about this humanistic educational approach.

  • The Journey to Spread the Montessori Philosophy

The AMI Montessori Assistant Course for ages 0–3 is more than just professional training; it provides teachers, administrators, and parents with a deeper understanding of the Montessori philosophy—a method that celebrates the natural development and inherent potential of children.

Through the collaboration of MVEC, TFM, AMI, and MTCNE, the course delivers a strong foundation of knowledge and practical skills, empowering participants to confidently support children’s growth in a well-prepared environment full of love and respect.

  • The Mission of the Course

The course aims to:

  • Master Montessori philosophy and practice: Equip participants with the ability to observe and support children as they develop at their own pace.
  • Understand child psychology: Focus on the golden developmental stage of 0–3 years, when children achieve remarkable progress in motor, cognitive, and emotional growth.
  • Create a standard Montessori environment: Foster independence, freedom within limits, and holistic development.
  • Inspire and nurture a passion for teaching: Cultivate dedication to the mission of supporting children’s comprehensive development, contributing to high-quality early childhood education.

The Importance of the Montessori Assistant Role

A Montessori assistant serves as a crucial link between children and their learning environment. This role not only supports the teacher but also fosters children’s independence, confidence, and love for learning. The course provides practical knowledge and specialized skills to help participants effectively apply the Montessori approach in their daily teaching practices.

  • An Inspiring and Warm Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony was filled with excitement and energy, with the participation of:

  • Ms. Sharlyn Michele Smith: AMI Montessori Trainer, Director of Training for AMI Assistant and Teacher Courses (ages 0–3), Professor at Loyola University (USA), International Examiner, and Montessori Consultant.
  • Ms. Julia Hilson: AMI Trainer for ages 0–3 and 3–6, Bachelor’s and Master’s in Education, Director of Training, and International Montessori Consultant.
  • Mr. Tim Nee: Director of the Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE) and AMI Representative.
  • Ms. Trần Thanh Hiền: AMI Montessori Researcher and Educator, Director of MVEC, a pioneer in promoting the Montessori philosophy in Vietnam.
  • More than 85 participants: Attendees from across the country and abroad, creating a dynamic and diverse learning community.

During the ceremony, attendees were inspired by heartfelt speeches from trainers and experts, received congratulatory messages, and heard words of encouragement from the organizing team. All efforts were unified toward a common goal: creating a high-quality, humanistic educational environment tailored to children’s developmental needs.

Looking Ahead

The course is not only about professional training but also a platform for participants to exchange ideas, learn collaboratively, and build sustainable educational values. The knowledge and skills gained will enable participants to apply Montessori principles effectively, contributing to the success of this methodology in Vietnam.

With the support of experienced trainers, both in-person learners in Ho Chi Minh City and online participants are guaranteed a high-quality learning experience.

Notably, in September 2022, the AMI Montessori Teacher Training Course for ages 0–3 will be held. This offers an exceptional opportunity for Montessori enthusiasts to continue their learning and professional development journey.

Gratitude and Commitment

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants who have trusted and joined us in bringing Montessori closer to the educational community in Vietnam. We remain committed to delivering high-quality courses that foster a humanistic educational environment where every child can thrive in love and respect.

Join MVEC and TFM in spreading the Montessori philosophy, igniting knowledge, and building a high-quality early childhood education system for future generations!

Sincerely,
Tiny Flower Montessori
